Hi, I'm Magnus.

For years I've been machining premium fidgets from titanium, zirconium and stranger metals in my workshop here in New Zealand. I've made a lot of different things in that time. Sliders, pens, one-offs, exotics - if it could be machined and it felt good in the hand, I've probably obsessed over it.

And then I made the Atom.

The One That Was Different

I knew almost immediately that this one wasn't like the others.

The Atom is a deceptively simple thing - a two-piece fidget you flip, rotate and click in your fingers. There's no screen, no app, no instructions. You just pick it up... and then, somehow, you don't put it down.

It has an X factor I can't fully explain in words - that rare quality where an object is more satisfying than it has any right to be. I'd hand it to someone "just to try," and watch the exact same thing happen every time: they'd go quiet, start flipping it, and about thirty seconds later look up and say "...okay, what IS this?"

That reaction happened too often, and too consistently, to ignore. This wasn't just another good fidget in the range. This was something that deserved to stand entirely on its own.

So I gave it its own home. That's what Atomic Fidgets is.

Why A Whole Brand For One Fidget?

Because I don't want the Atom to be one product among many. I want it to be the product - perfected, endlessly, in every material on earth.

That's the whole idea here: one shape, every material.

The Atom you fall in love with in machined aluminium is the same Atom in titanium, in zirconium, in copper and brass, in carbon fiber, and right up to rare, hand-forged exotic metals. Same addictive feel. Same perfect object. Wrapped in something new each time.

It means you can start with one that suits you today - and, if you catch the bug (you will), work your way up a ladder of materials over time, each one a little more special than the last. Some people want one perfect everyday Atom. Others want the whole set. Both are exactly right.

The Atom looks like a bit of fun - and it is. But for a huge number of the people who carry one, it's become something more useful than that: a genuine tool for focus.

Everything here is designed and machined in-house, by me, in New Zealand. No faceless factory, no corners cut on the parts you can't see. My name and my reputation are in every single Atom that leaves the workshop — which is exactly why they're made the way they are.
